credit to myself for the picture.
it's been 2 months now since my last blog. i've lived a thousand lives since the last one. i've been well. i still have my usual worries with bills etc. but life is looking up lately.

i love my new job, despite its shortcomings and unbelievable stress at times. my coworkers are great people, some with exquisite music taste, some who are really funny and just generally good people. it doesn't pay as good as i'd like, but that's another issue i'm discussing with my union anyways.

it's been awfully hot the past two months, and it's not helping the doomer mentality of the future ahead. i'm lucky i have one of them portable ACs, but they only do so much.

politically, we've been on a bit of a break due to the heat. demonstrations and events aren't happening as often, due to good reason. my work schedule also often coincides with such events so i can't always go. i've been reading more theory, specifically lenins state&revolution and his 'left-radicalism: a childrens disease'. (can recommend!)

now to the topic of who occupied my mind during the last blogpost, i enjoy her company quite a bit. we had a bit of a bonnie&clyde thing going on recently

regarding music i've been getting more and more into rock lately, definitely because of work. to list some of it: the strokes, them crooked vultures, queens of the stone age. those have been on repeat. 'ode to the mets' by the strokes especially. i love it to bits. (if you couldn't tell by the title of this blog, it's a reference to the song)
